System requirements

Client requirements for mobileX-ServicePlatform Portal

To use the mobileX-ServicePlatform Portal, no dedicated client application is required. An ordinary internet browser is sufficient.

Supported browsers under Windows

It is recommended to use the mobileX-ServicePlatform with one of the browsers listed below. The latest 3 versions are supported:

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Google Chrome

  • Edge Chromium

Browser requirements

The use of Cookies and the use of JavaScript must be allowed in the browser settings in order to use the mobileX-ServicePlatform Web UI.

Note: For security reasons, it is strongly recommended that you use the latest version of the above-mentioned browsers with all security-relevant updates.

mobileX-CrossMIP Client for ServicePlatform

The mobileX-ServicePlatform always supports only the latest version available in the store of mobileX-CrossMIP Client for ServicePlatform. Regular automatic updating of the app on the mobile devices is therefore mandatory.

Supported operating system[1]:

  • iOS in versions 15.x, 16.x and 17.x

  • Android in versions 11.x, 12.x, 13.x and 14.x

  • Electron for Windows

Currently tested and released for:

  • Windows 10 from version 2004 to version 22H2

  • Windows 11 as of version 21H1

App distribution:

The app mobileX-CrossMIP can be obtained from the following App Stores:

  • App Store®[2]

  • Google Play[3].

  • Microsoft Store

mobileX also recommend the use of a "Mobile Device Management" system to manage the mobile devices and the app distribution. The apps are also obtained via the store of the respective platform.

  • Apple iOS: With Apple Business Manager[4] with MDM

  • Android: Android Enterprise[5]

  • Windows 10/11: Distribution of the app from the Windows Store, e.g. via Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Microsoft Intune

1. Newer major versions for iOS, Android and Windows will be tested at an early stage and supported with release by the manufacturer. Due to changes in the operating system it cannot be guaranteed that older mobileX-CrossMIP versions will run without an update on a newer version
